Coronet Pageants began in 2001 with a local
Miss Heartland pageant. The objective at that time is still our
focus today:
to provide an excellent chance for many committed contestants to
achieve a title. With the advent of the on-line pageants
in 2004, those titles became National.
 |
We feel that pageant participants work hard to improve not only
themselves but the world around them, giving hours in
volunteer time to their communities. |
 |
We believe strongly that a crown is only a keepsake until a
titleholder brings it to life with her (or his) service to others.
|
 |
We feel that a pageant family has room for more than one
Overall winner and so, while celebrating our Overall Queens
and King, we include lots of other royalty who can share equally
in the fun of appearances and volunteer service. |
Each of our four pageants has an overall Queen and overall
Princess (1st runner up) as well as age-group Queens and
Princesses. As well, contestants with scores that come within 20
points of the age group winners earn the title of Countess
and also receive sashes and tiaras. (The Nat'l Little Miss/Master
Sweetheart Pageant has Kings, Princes, and Counts for boys.)
In each of the Coronet Pageants we are searching for natural
contestants who are unaffected in their demeanor and friendly
towards others. They should show good character and leadership and
be well spoken. They (or their families' goals for them,
in the case of children) should demonstrate achievement and/or good
community service involvement. The appearance we
emphasize has as much to do with inner beauty, good grooming, and
age appropriate dress and make-up as it does with outer beauty.
Marian Weyer is the owner of Coronet Pageants and has had over ten
years of pageant experience as a contestant, pageant mom,
local Miss America Board Member, and Director of pageants. This
includes 7 years as director of the local Fair Queen Pageant and
two years with local Miss America Teen and Li'l Miss pageants. She
has had Miss
America Judges' training.
